John Page Classic AJ
A Tribute to the Very First
The AJ from John Page Classic Guitars is a tribute to the first guitar John made when he first opened his custom shop in 2006. "The first guitar I designed and released was the P-1. A 14” bout, single-cutaway body, with a humbucker in the neck and a T-style pickup in the bridge. It was my take on a customized guitar that I had played for many, many years. A few years later I decided that the 14” bout was a bit large for most people, and as much as I liked the humbucker in the neck, I thought a P-90 would match the T-style bridge pickup a bit better, so I decided it was time that original P-1 evolved." Now, that vision has evolved into the AJ, named after John's first born, his son, Adam John. The AJ has caught the attention of many players, sporting a single-cutaway alder body with a 13” lower bout, stylized front and back contours, and a lower horn and neck heel that allow for easy upper fret access. An extremely comfortable "C" shaped neck profile comes together with Bloodline pickups to create a fantastic instrument that makes the same statement as it's Ashbren brethren. John Page Classic Guitars are a phenomenal value, and we're both humbled and honored to bring them to our exceptional customers.
