Wow, this Richie Kotzen telecaster sure is muscular and mean! Overall, it has a snappy, woody, percussive attack that gives way to punchy, warm resonance. The bridge pickup puts out booming midrange, satisfying lows, and clear, cutting highs. The neck pickup is quite lively and three-dimensional, and it showcases broad, open midrange, plenty of quack, and warm lows. With the series/parallel switch, you can get some really nice scooped, thin tones in the middle position, too! Anyone searching for a Tele with a bad attitude will love this Richie Kotzen Signature model.
This fantastic Fender has accumulated a good amount of honest play wear over its lifespan. There are dings and scratches sprinkled throughout the finish, with the largest concentration being just below the control plate on the front. There is also some moderate-to-heavy hardware tarnishing. It comes with a non-original tweed hardshell case that is damaged and ripped but structurally sound. If you can look past these cosmetic flaws, you can score a killer player's Tele with tone for days for an unbelievable value!
