Gibson Custom Shop Wildwood Spec 1958 Mahogany Explorer

Sonic Evaluation
This is the first Wildwood Spec Explorer to grace our shelves in some time, and boy have we ever missed these guitars! This one oozes swagger with its 4-Ply pickguard, sweet natural finish, and gold hardware. It also provides a sterling example of classic Gibson Explorer tone. The bridge pickup has glorious woody punch in the low mids, plenty of snarl in the upper mids, sizzling trebles, and tight low-end. It's a bit rawer and more rugged than normal, and it will work perfectly for any music that requires a bit of bad attitude. The neck position has broad, woody midrange, deep low-end, and sweet, singing highs. It is also uncommonly clear despite its thick tone, which makes it excellent for rhythm work. All in all, this Explorer is a monster, and anyone who appreciates pointy guitars and classic tone will dig it!
