Gibson Memphis 2018 Limited 1961 ES-335
Tonal EvaluationThis sweet '61 is quite inspiring. Overall, it has a lively, touch-sensitive harmonic response with lots of give on the attack.
The neck pickup has acoustic-like clarity in the wide-open trebles to go with thumping, pillowy lows and woody mids.
The bridge pickup has a a ridiculous amount of bite and chime in the highs to go with muscular mids and sweet, tight lows.
Anyone searching for a dynamic semi-hollow will love this ES-335!
Spirit of '61In 1961, the ES-335 featured a thinner, flatter neck that players immediately appreciated for having a comfortable feel and fast action. The 2018 1961 ES-335 is a historically accurate recreation of the ES-335 that combined 1950s looks with 1960s playability. The “mouse ear” body shape, slim taper profile, and dark rosewood fingerboard with pearloid dot inlays ensure that there is no mistaking this guitar’s lineage. It also features a MTC Historic control assembly and our PAF-style MHS Humbucking pickups for classic Gibson tones. Available in Historic Burst and Sixties Cherry finishes.
