Used 1957 Gibson Les Paul Standard - Refinished
Condition ReportWildwoodians, we have a delectable morsel of vintage goodness here for you today: a refinished 1957 Les Paul Standard. As you can see, a previous owner stripped the original goldtop finish and replaced it with a glorious nitrocellulose lacquer sunburst. Its original pickups sound positively gorgeous, and age has opened up its sound beautifully. A previous owner also sanded down the neck to a slimmer C profile, giving this guitar phenomenal fast feel.
Over the years, several original parts have been swapped out. The original brass bobbin screws have been swapped for steel screws, and the original poker chip and jack plate plastic have been lost to the sands of time. All white plastics are aftermarket reissue parts, and the pickup's adjustable slugs have glue on them, as does the base plate. It has also been professionally refretted, so it is ready to rip! It comes with its original brown Lifton hardshell case, too!
And, it comes with a cool extra: a reissue black pickguard signed by the man, the myth, the legend himself--Les Paul!
We're proud to showcase this incredible vintage piece, and we have no doubt it will inspire years of musical joy.
