If you're looking for a vintage archtop with tons of vibe, this '52 L-50 certainly fits the bill! It has an incredibly articulate attack that captures every detail and nuance of your right-hand technique, and it responds to player input with incredible immediacy. Its voice is woody, pure, and warm, and it has superb midrange presence. It projects like nobody's business, and there is no danger that you'll be drowned out at an acoustic jam. The highs are crystalline and sweet, and the lows are tight and well-defined. All in all, it is quite an inspiring archtop, and it will surely compel you to comp chords until the cows come home!
This '52 L-50 has accumulated plenty of awesome-looking vintage wear over the course of its sixty-eight year-long life. There are a couple repaired top cracks, and the original frets are in decent shape--they look like they were re-crowned at some point, and they now measure .034." Also, a previous owner installed a strap buttons. It comes with a non-original Ibanez hardshell case.
