Lowden Guitars S-50C 12-Fret – Mastergrade Fiddleback Mahogany
(Fiddle)Back in Black!
Wildwoodians, please excuse us for the silly AC/DC pun there in the header--this Lowden S-50C has us all a little bit gobsmacked and we make puns when we get excited. Lowden's are always exquisite, perfect jewels, but this one is made with some especially extraordinary gems: mastergrade Alpine spruce for the top and mastergrade fiddleback mahogany for the back and sides. This means that they look gorgeous while also creating a supremely satisfying sonic cocktail.Alpine spruce produces a sound rich with overtones and full of three-dimensional detail, which pairs beautifully with the fiddleback mahogany back and sides. The mahogany imparts a warm, woody tonality and balances everything out. The 12-fret construction also gives it a piano-like fullness and depth, leaving you with a robust yet well-defined small-bodied tone with outstanding dynamic response.
We invite you to take this spectacular Lowden S-50C for spin. Once you do, we won't be able to wait to get (fiddle)back in the saddle again (sorry, we'll show ourselves to the door).
