Gibson J-45 Deluxe
The Deluxe WorkhorseHow do you make a J-45--an instrument that is already deluxe in every sense of the word--even more deluxe? Well, you're looking at the answer! We are proud to present the J-45 Deluxe, a sweet slope-shoulder that adds a few awesome tweaks to the J-45 formula. Instead of mahogany, Gibson's acoustic wizards in Bozeman attach the spruce top to high-quality rosewood, which lends the J-45 an inspiring, refreshing tonality. Though the short scale still gives you great warmth and note bloom after an initial percussive attack, what follows is much different thanks to this tonewood change. The bass frequencies take on a rich, piano-like quality, and the highs sparkle like the sun on a hot summer day here in Colorado. Still, you can hear that trademark Gibson midrange woodiness!
Inspiring sounds aside, the J-45 is also pure eye candy! Multi-colored rope binding really pops against the rosewood burst finish, and the split diamond inlays look positively opulent with their brass borders. Add in an abalone rosette and a bound peghead, and you've got one sweet-looking acoustic! It will also sound good on stage as gig-goers gawk thanks to the LR Baggs Element pickup system, which replicates the sound of this Deluxe destroyer with exceptional fidelity.
We are proud to present such an inspiring instrument to our exceptional customers, and we are sure you will find that it is a workhorse with exceptional style and power after just a couple strums.
