Used 2011 CB (Chris Bozung) Model J
Tonal EvaluationThe tone of acoustic guitars made with Brazilian rosewood never ceases to amaze me, and the sounds this Bozung-built dreadnought makes are no exception! It has rich, piano-like bass response, a little woody low-midrange resonance, and lots of gorgeous note bloom in the trebles.
The highs are shiny, sure, but they're not dazzlingly bright or sparkly--more like polished silver than sparkling gold. The shorter scale also brings out some midrange warmth and treble roundness. Also, there's a notch in the midrange right where the human voice sits, making this guitar an excellent choice for singer-songwriters looking for an instrument to accompany themselves with.
With its refined, elegant top end and earthy bass response, this Model J makes a case for itself as one of the best-sounding Brazilian rosewood strummers in the shop! We hope you find its rare tone as inspiring as we do!
Condition of InstrumentThis beautiful instrument is in good condition overall with the kind of play wear we expect from an instrument that sounds this good - light fretwear, and few dings on the top. There are also a few scratches on the back and a repaired top crack (which was cleated on the inside). Includes original hardshell case.
